Scotty (’08) and Joy Beth Curtis – We proudly welcomed our second child, Jasper Rupp to the world on August 9th, 2015.

David and Brittani (Sims ’13) Story Welcomed their baby girl Shiloh Elizabeth on July 30, 2015.

Dr. Melvin Clark Heller (’74) – Melvins book, ESL Doxography, just exceeded 2000 in sales according to his publisher, Infinity Books. Currently he has two books in print, ESL Doxography and Clarkheller Collection, a collection of fiction and travel journals. Included in this collection is a Randall House award winning short story entitled “It’s a Long Time till Springtime.” His YouTube Channel is “ClarkvonHeller.” His Facebook name is also ClarkvonHeller.

Daniel (’07) and Katie McDonald (’10) Speer – God called our family into full time mission service in Tokyo, JP. We are currently stateside visiting Free Will Baptist churches and seeking out partnership to begin our service with a two year internship. We are so excited to begin, and we are expecting great things from a Great God!

Paul Eichwutzle (’93) was promoted to Major in the US Army, and assigned as Brigade Personnel Systems Management Officer for a Unit in Huntsville AL. He also serves on the pastoral team as a Men’s Small Group Leader – Church of the Highlands.

Welch College alumnus, Martin E. Sheldon, graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biblical Studies on December 14, 2012 from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Sheldon studied under the mentorship of Dr. Andreas Köstenberger, Senior Research Professor at SEBTS. This Ph.D. is the culmination of an ardent educational journey. Dr. Sheldon attended Welch College in Nashville, TN where he earned the Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. He continued his educational pursuit at Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, VA, where he earned the Master of Divinity (1993) and Master of Theology (1998). Dr. Sheldon has been teaching with Liberty University Online, School of Religion since 2003 and currently serves as a Department Chair.

Phillip Sutton (’08) and his wife Amanda welcomed their first child into the world on November 30, 2012. Their daughter Morgan Lee Sutton was born in Raleigh, NC. Phillip continues to work as a Deputy Sheriff with the Wake County Sheriff’s Office in Raleigh, NC.
