Adult and Online Financial Aid

Making a Welch College education affordable for you

Our online college degree program is affordable, accessible, and attainable!

College can be expensive. For some, attending Welch College is impossible without some form of financial help. We have taken this into consideration, and we offer discounted rates for Adult and Online students. Welch offers more than $4 million in student financial aid each year. Approximately 90% of our students receive financial aid, including institutional loans, grants, and scholarships as well as federally and state-funded grants and loans. Welch consistently ranks high in U.S. News and World Report as one of the top colleges in the U.S. in the awarding of merit-based scholarships.

The majority of financial aid is based on a student’s documented financial need (see definition of financial need below). If you think you qualify for any form of financial aid, please read the following information carefully and apply according to the stated procedure.

How to Apply for Financial Aid

The financial aid process is the same for Adult and Online students as it is for traditional, on-campus students.

When applying for financial aid, here are things you should keep in mind.

  1. File the FAFSA, even when you think you will not be eligible for a Pell Grant. You will need it to obtain a loan.
  2. Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on the Web.
    • Students should apply online using their PIN.
    • If you have not received a PIN, you may go to the FAFSA website to apply.
    • If you need help, the FAFSA Student Guide is also available online.
    • Welch College’s Institution Code is 030018

Note: If you anticipate not filing a tax return, contact the Financial Aid Office staff for instructions. Students may also benefit from income tax credits. Welch College is also approved to use Veteran Benefits and Tuition Assistance.
