Flames Fall in Opener

November 1, 2013.  The Flames traveled to Clearwater, Florida, for their season opener and came up short, losing 96-48.  The Cougars led from start to finish in the lopsided contest.

 

Leading the way for Welch College was David Reeves with 15 points.  Jeff Carter chipped in with 10.  Tim Hutchinson led the Flames with 12 rebounds.

 

“We knew we were going to take our lumps early in the season,” said Flames’ coach Nathan Willhite.  “We will just continue to work hard and try not to get discouraged.
