Welch College will host luncheons with two featured speakers and an alumni dinner as a part of FORUM14/Bible Conference, according to Josh Owens, event coordinator.
The first of the two luncheons will take place on Monday, March 10, at 12:15 p.m. Russell Moore will address attendees, speaking on the conference theme of the Gospel for Life as it relates to ethics. The event is to be catered by Martin’s BBQ, a local Nashville restaurant featured on Food Network’s Diner’s, Drive-ins and Dives. The cost for the luncheon is $12.00.
The second luncheon will be on Tuesday, March 11, at 12:15 p.m., and will feature conference speaker Ajith Fernando. Chick-fil-A will cater the event, and Fernando will speak on the conference theme of the Gospel for Life as it relates to youth. The cost is $6. There will be a brief question-and-answer time at the end of each luncheon.
The annual Alumni Dinner will take place on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. and will for the first time include current students. The classes of 1954 (60 years), 1964 (50 years), 1974 (40 years), 1984 (30 years), 1989 (25 years), 1994 (20 years), and 2004 (10 years) will be recognized and honored. Representatives from the 10, 25, and 50-year classes will share brief testimonies. This event, which will include an Italian buffet and dessert, is free and is open to all alumni, friends, faculty, staff, and current students.
